Chinaplas 2023: BASF showcases its ability to help customers achieve sustainable development goals and drive green progress

During Chinaplas2023, BASF will showcase how it is helping its customers achieve sustainable development goals and advancing its green process to provide solutions for the manufacture, use and recycling of plastics. We will work with our customers and partners across the value chain to build a green and low-carbon future." at Chinaplas, BASF launched the Biomass Balance (BMB) certified product brand, These include Ultramid® polyamide (PA), Ultraform® polyformaldehyde (POM), polyether polyol Lupraphen, Elastopan® polyurethane (PU), and Elastollan® thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU). These certified labels complement the Ultraform Biomass Balance label, which was launched in October 2022. Ultraform Biomass Balancing solutions reduce the product's carbon footprint (PCF) by approximately 70% compared to traditional brands. basf announced that its thermoplastic polyurethane unit in Zhanjiang will begin production in the second half of 2023. Together with devices for the production of modified engineered plastics, BASF will be able to meet the growing demand of customers in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in the automotive, electronics and electric vehicle industries -- in line with the trend towards vehicle electrification and miniaturization of electronic devices. Basf has announced that from Q2 2023, More than 50 polyphthalamide (PPA) compounds will be provided to customers in China and Asia Pacific to support the market demand for lightweight, high-performance plastic components in the automotive industry, electrical and electronics (E&E), as well as mechanical engineering and smart consumer products, added Mr Bowe.
